I watched Inception last night and it was well worth it. Amazing plot, special effects, acting, et all. It is one of the top movies I’ve seen this summer. The plot reminded me of an old Batman animated series episode where Batman is stuck in a dream by Mad Hatter. He finds out he is dreaming because he cannot read anything – supposedly the part of the brain that translates words into thoughts is inactive during sleep, making reading impossible. The movie is a genuinely great movie– disappointing summer aside. It’s more refreshing, perhaps, due to the fact that this season has been so stark, but this flick easily deserves praise all on its own merits rather than by lack of good competition.

I was a little disappointed with Inception. Even though I am a huge Leonardo Dicaprio fan I did not think Inception had been all that cool for a thriller. It seemed as though all the highlights seemed to be on the motion picture trailer so there was nothing at all remaining to see in the actual movie. Oh well, maybe I will quit watching the previews

I just saw inception today (because of the release differences worldwide). On my way home I thought of Batman and remembered this same episode. I was little back then ( 7 or 8), but I remembered the key points. Very similar theme. It's a nice coincidence that Nolan also directs the new Batman movie franchise. I made a search for this, but the only result I found was this. I can't believe no one else has posted something on this topic.
